Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 19:00-07:00, self-scheduling with every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to a diverse emergency department patient population
Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care for trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac emergencies
Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver timely, life-saving interventions
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage ventilators, and administer critical medications
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
Maintain a safe and organized environment in a fast-paced 24-bed ED with 3 trauma bays

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (PALS or ENTC accepted)
Ability to read and interpret ECG rhythms independently
Comfortable working with Paragon EMR

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing and triage skills
ECG rhythm interpretation
Trauma, stroke, sepsis, and CHF management
Patient education and family support
Team collaboration in a high-stress environment
