Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly to prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Provide hands-on patient care including medication administration, IV therapy, and wound management
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment
• Monitor and interpret patient status, intervene promptly for changes, and escalate when needed
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and safe discharge instructions
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to improve ED outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior experience in Emergency Department nursing preferred but enthusiastic new grads with strong ED interest are welcome to apply
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting with calm and compassion

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills and emergency triage knowledge
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and accurate clinical documentation
• Comfort managing high-acuity patients and responding to rapid clinical changes
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Time management and prioritization in unpredictable clinical workflows
