Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate diabetes education to patients and families, transforming lives one lesson at a time
Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for top-notch patient care
Administer medications and treatments with precision and care
Develop and execute personalized patient care plans that make a real difference
Champion patient safety and experience through sharp critical thinking
Serve as a vital resource for staff on education programs and materials
Advocate fiercely for patients across clinical, psychosocial, and other needs

Qualifications

Licensed as an RN in Illinois and Wisconsin
CDCES certification required
Approved CPR certification within 90 days
Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in diabetes education and management
Strong nursing process and patient care skills
Medication administration proficiency
Critical thinking for patient safety
Interdisciplinary collaboration
