Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 10-hour shifts with overnight call once a week and 3 weekend days per month as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $97 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub in for complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG and valve surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKG strips throughout each case
Collaborate with surgeons and the OR team in a fast-paced environment
Provide exceptional patient care during all heart surgeries
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Respond to call coverage when cases extend beyond scheduled hours

Qualifications

Active RN license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with strong scrubbing skills
First-time travelers welcome
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced operating room

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CVOR procedures and sterile technique
Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
Strong EKG interpretation abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle 4-6 surgeries per day confidently
