Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized, compassionate care to our tiniest patients in a Level III NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines with confidence and precision
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
Float to Mother-Baby or L&D units to support newborns and their families
Serve as a baby nurse and transition nurse for new arrivals
Follow AWHONN/NANN staffing guidelines to deliver safe, high-quality care
Act as a safety advocate when floating to other units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of recent NICU experience
Proven ability to work with ventilators and central lines
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal

Neonatal population expertise
Ventilator and central line management
Independent decision-making in high-acuity settings
Clear, compassionate communication with families and the care team
Ability to adapt quickly when floating between units
