Location: Canon City, Colorado

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day and night shifts available, self-scheduling with balanced schedules, 3 weekends in a 6-week period, rotating holidays, call requirements based on census

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a supportive LDRP environment
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and D10
Collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure safe deliveries and positive birth experiences
Read and interpret fetal monitoring strips to ensure the well-being of mother and baby
Support patients with high BMI, diabetes, and substance use needs with empathy and expertise
Float within Zone 1 facilities when needed to support fellow teams across the region

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM, and STABLE certifications required
LDRP experience strongly preferred
Ability to titrate drips and manage complex obstetric patients
Willingness to take call and work rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills using OBIX system
Experience with bubble CPAP and basic respiratory support for newborns
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, dedicated team
Comfort managing high-acuity obstetric patients including those with diabetes and substance use disorders
Flexibility to float within Zone 1 facilities when census allows
