Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement (Days: Saturday-Sunday; Nights: Friday-Saturday) and rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Attend deliveries independently and circulate during C-sections with confidence
Assist with catching and transitioning newborns while ensuring their safety and comfort
Titrate critical drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin to support patient needs
Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Anesthesia providers available 24/7
Support high-risk patients including those with preeclampsia, diabetes, and substance use concerns
Float within the Birthing Center to Mother Baby and Postpartum units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience; 1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments
Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating C-sections
No first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

LDRP nursing expertise
Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
Centricity Perinatal and EPIC documentation systems
Titration of Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin drips
High-risk obstetrical care including preeclampsia and diabetic management
Newborn transition and resuscitation skills
