Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-29-2026

End Date: 08-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general orthopedic conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in acute inpatient settings
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and implement evidence-based treatment interventions
Support patients through their recovery journey from deconditioning to functional independence

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Strong assessment and rehabilitation skills

Physical Therapy expertise in acute care settings
Patient assessment and treatment planning
Rehabilitation across diverse medical conditions
Interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
Adaptability across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER environments
