Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
- Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to ensure safe, supportive environments
- Administer medications and perform procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safety protocols
- Float to support ED psych holds and other MedSurg units as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with 600+ beds
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Psychiatric or behavioral health experience is a plus but not required
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and SIMs Lab skills assessment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Comfort working with patients who have secondary psychiatric diagnoses
- Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Ability to remain calm and de-escalate in behavioral health situations
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
