Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-29-2026

End Date: 08-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for diverse patient populations including post-surgical, neurological, and general medical cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery journeys
Document patient progress and adjust interventions to maximize functional independence
Mentor and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience essential
Strong clinical skills in treating orthopedic, neurological, and deconditioned patients

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute inpatient rehabilitation across multiple hospital units
Proficiency with post-surgical protocols for TKA, THA, and spinal procedures
Experience managing stroke recovery and general orthopedic conditions
Ability to adapt quickly across medical-surgical, ICU, and emergency settings
