Registered Nurse - PCU/MedSurg/Oncology
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
- Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians
- Float to same-level MedSurg and PCU units to support patient care across the facility
- Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
- Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medications with precision
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families throughout their journey
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
- First-time travelers welcome
- EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for PCU and oncology patients
- Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz)
- Comfortable with chemotherapy administration and titration of drips
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly and support colleagues across units
