Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift
- Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
- Collaborate with the care team on a 49-bed telemetry unit with 1:5 ratios
- Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support patient needs across the facility
- Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem and assist with BiPAP/CPAP therapies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
- Experience reading basic telemetry strips
- Some background with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
- Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Comfort with cardiac, post-cath, and medical-surgical patients
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and aides
- Flexibility to float between units as needed
