Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while managing complex cardiac and sedation drips
Titrate medications and adjust ventilator settings to support critically ill patients
Collaborate with nurse aides and respiratory therapists to deliver seamless, team-based care
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining excellent patient ratios and outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Strong telemetry monitoring and drip titration skills
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration for cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Ventilator management from nasal cannula to full mechanical ventilation
Critical thinking and rapid response in high-acuity settings
Floating flexibility across ICU, PCU, and MedSurg units
