Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to high-acuity CVICU patients including pre and post-op CABG, LVADs, and TAVR cases
• Manage critical drips, vents, IABP, CRRT, and Swan monitoring with confidence and precision
• Interpret EKG strips and tele monitoring to ensure patient stability
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RT, and pharmacy teams for optimal outcomes
• Float proactively to other Sacramento facilities when needed, embracing teamwork
• Work all assigned cases with a proactive mindset, asking for help when it counts

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 full years of CVICU experience plus 1 completed travel assignment
• 2 supervisory references, one within 12 months and one within 3 years
• Comfortable in 1:1-2 high-acuity ratios in a fast-paced environment

Education

• RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiovascular surgical ICU care and neuro experience preferred
• Proficient in Cerner EMR, EKG interpretation, ventilator management
• Skilled with critical care devices like IABP, CRRT, and balloon pumps
• Strong communication for bedside report and team collaboration
