Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Friday-Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (9-10 hour days)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients in the acute care setting to understand their unique needs
Develop personalized care plans that drive real rehabilitation progress
Apply specialized techniques to improve patient function and mobility
Supervise therapeutic care while coordinating with PTAs, OTs and speech therapists
Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff to ensure seamless recovery journeys

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience, with acute care preferred
Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy
BLS certification required
Background in orthopedics, neurology or cardiopulmonary is a plus

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute care procedures and patient lifting equipment like SARA+ and Maximove
Comfortable navigating Cerner PowerChart documentation system
Strong skills in 1:1 patient ratios across single-occupancy rooms
Experience treating diverse cases in a fast-paced hospital environment
