Roles & Responsibilities

• Titrate critical drips like sedation, vasopressors, and insulin to stabilize patients
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs while monitoring bedside cardiac rhythms
• Deliver exceptional care to ICU patients with sepsis, respiratory issues, DKA, and post-op complications
• Manage PCU patients on non-titratable infusions and Med Surg cases in a dynamic acuity-adaptable unit
• Collaborate with RTs, monitor techs, and nurse aids to provide seamless team-based support
• Float to nearby units to sharpen your skills across diverse patient acuities

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg from larger facilities
• Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score on first or second attempt
• No recent employment with CommonSpirit facilities within specified radius and timeframes

Education

• RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in titrating drips and reading cardiac strips
• Proficiency in managing vents, BiPAP, CPAP with RT support
• Strong assessment skills for sepsis, COPD, DKA, and withdrawal cases
• Adaptability to varying ratios based on acuity: 1:2 ICU, 1:4 PCU, 1:5-6 Med Surg
