Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for behavioral health patients
Assess, monitor, and document patient status and progress with precision
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Lead therapeutic interactions and de-escalation when needed to maintain safety
Support discharge planning and coordinate care transitions
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and coping strategies
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold facility policies

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact license where applicable
Experience or training in behavioral health services (BHS) preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtainable upon hire
Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities
Professional attitude with commitment to patient dignity and safety

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of behavioral health nursing principles and safety protocols
Skill in patient assessment, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic communication
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and adapt to changing needs
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail in clinical environments
