Location: Merced, California

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, potential weekends as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy to patients across telemetry, med/surg, general medical, and medical ICU units
Assess nutritional needs, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on dietary modifications and healthy eating habits
Document all interventions accurately in Cerner EMR
Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian
Acute care hospital experience highly preferred
Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong understanding of nutrition care for low to moderate acuity patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
