Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and efficiently using established protocols
• Position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining strict radiation safety procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely diagnosis and patient care
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and family members throughout the imaging process
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic charting system
• Participate in quality assurance activities and equipment checks to ensure optimal operation

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (or eligible and pursuing certification)
• Valid Louisiana state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Louisiana
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with a diverse patient population and varying clinical needs
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
• Previous radiology/rad tech experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical training are welcome

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Completion of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with radiographic equipment and digital imaging systems
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Patient positioning and anatomy knowledge for accurate imaging
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Ability to follow protocols, manage time effectively, and prioritize urgent studies
