Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-17-2026

End Date: 09-16-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating on-call after 4:30 PM weekdays and rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac stress tests, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
Operate GE imaging equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
Utilize Radnet and Merge Unity for image management and documentation
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize patient care
Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (CA NMTL)
Current BLS certification from AHA
Minimum 2 years of recent nuclear medicine experience
Proven proficiency in cardiac imaging, SPECT, bone scans, and other nuclear medicine studies
Ability to start IVs is not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine principles and radiation safety
Experience with GE imaging equipment
Proficient in Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
