Location: St. Louis, MO

Start Date: 05-01-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Orientation included; 5-hour shifts (specific days and start/end times to be determined with hiring manager)

Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist providers with direct patient care and clinical procedures
Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment
Collect and document patient vitals and medical histories
Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic health record
Support patient education and follow-up instructions with compassion
Coordinate appointments and assist with clinic flow to keep things running smoothly
Participate in orientation and training to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Medical Assistant diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience preferred
Certification such as CMA or RMA is a plus but not required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or able to obtain
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient-facing care
Ability to work reliably for 5-hour shifts and attend orientation
Comfortable with basic clinical tasks such as taking vitals and specimen collection

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant certificate or vocational training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with patient vital signs and basic clinical procedures
Experience or comfort using electronic health records
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Patient-centered communication and bedside manner
Basic infection control and safety practices
