Roles & Responsibilities

Accurately collect and document vital patient information to keep charts impeccably organized
Perform specimen collection and Point of Care Testing with precision and care
Administer immunizations and injections as ordered to support patient wellness
Monitor vital signs and recognize urgent symptoms for timely interventions
Assist providers with procedures, treatments, and minor surgeries while maintaining smooth clinic flow
Transport patients safely and provide attentive observation for those in need
Set up equipment for exams and ensure all supplies are ready for seamless operations
Cross-cover for peers to keep patient care flowing efficiently across the team

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred, or EMT III Current AK Certification, Current AK Paramedic Certification, or Nursing Degree from accredited institution
Experience in healthcare setting strongly preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Nursing Degree from accredited institution accepted in lieu of other certifications

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient chart documentation, EMR systems, and medical databases
Proficient with vital signs equipment like blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeters, EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and manual defibrillators
Strong communication and customer service for multidisciplinary teamwork
Ability to recognize emergencies and perform life-saving procedures
Knowledge of clinic procedures, medical terminology, and age-appropriate patient care
