Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observation and assessments to uncover their true potential
• Craft and implement personalized treatment plans that transform functional skills and daily lives
• Recommend and train on adaptive equipment, empowering patients toward greater independence
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers with practical strategies for thriving at home
• Document progress meticulously and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists for seamless, coordinated care
• Stay ahead by participating in educational programs, workshops, and current literature to sharpen your expertise

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• BLS/CPR certification
• Passed the NBCOT exam to become an OTR
• NM OT license or active application process
• Completion of Level I & II supervised fieldwork
• 2 years acute care experience preferred, especially with ADLs, mobility training, and hospital equipment
