Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver diagnostic evaluations and personalized treatment programs to help patients achieve their maximum performance potential
Design therapeutic exercises and activities to boost strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination
Instruct patients in adaptive techniques and equipment use for daily self-care skills like meal prep and dressing
Conduct home assessments and create tailored home programs for seamless community reintegration
Provide specialized therapy for neurological integration, sensor-motor skills, and visual perceptual-motor remediation
Administer prevocational programs to prepare patients for work settings by assessing organizational and cognitive abilities
Offer prevention therapy on energy conservation, joint protection, and safe transfer techniques to families and patients

Qualifications

Current valid WA state Occupational Therapist license (or in the process of obtaining)
Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy
One year of experience preferred, but new grads warmly welcomed

Education

Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in diagnostic evaluations, treatment programs, patient records, therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, home assessments, and sensor-motor integration
Strong language skills for reading professional materials, writing reports, and presenting to groups
Mathematical proficiency with probabilities, statistics, fractions, and proportions
Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions
