Roles & Responsibilities

Screen, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
Provide expert consultations to enhance patient outcomes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and surgeons for seamless care
Improve functional needs to ensure safe discharges home or to other facilities

Qualifications

Current Hawaii State license as a Speech Language Pathologist
Current ASHA certification
Current CPR BLS/HCP certification
Completion of FEES course (within 6 months of hire)
Preferred: 1+ year acute care experience, FEES clinical experience, MBS ImP

Education

Advanced degree in Speech Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in adult swallowing evaluation and treatment
Skilled in communication and cognitive evaluation and treatment
Proficiency with FEES and MBS ImP
Strong collaboration in fast-paced acute care environments
