Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during clinic visits
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories accurately
• Prepare patients and assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Collect, label, and process specimens following clinic protocols
• Perform routine point-of-care testing and basic diagnostic procedures
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support smooth front-desk and patient flow activities when needed
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred (CMA, RMA or equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
• Clinical experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting preferred
• Comfort with phlebotomy and basic point-of-care testing preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Willingness to attend required orientation

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, or allied health training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Solid clinical fundamentals: vitals, specimen collection, infection control
• Patient communication and customer-service orientation
• Basic EKG and point-of-care testing knowledge is a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and standing orders
• Ability to multitask in a busy outpatient environment
