Roles & Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients, creating a warm and professional first impression
Obtain and document vital signs and concise medical histories
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection and point-of-care testing
Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record
Educate patients on basic care instructions and follow-up steps
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high-quality care standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
Previous ambulatory clinic or outpatient experience preferred
Comfortable working in a pediatric or specialty clinic environment
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization policies

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with patient intake and documentation in an electronic health record
Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
Basic clinical skills: vitals, specimen collection, infection control practices
Familiarity with clinic workflows and scheduling
Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and confidentiality (HIPAA)
