Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and prepare them for exam — create a welcoming, calm environment
• Collect vital signs, medical histories, and basic clinical information accurately
• Assist providers during ambulatory exams and procedures with attention to patient safety
• Maintain and update patient records in the EMR with clear, timely documentation
• Manage patient flow and rooming to keep the clinic running smoothly and on time
• Support infection control and clinic sanitation standards to protect patients and staff
• Coordinate basic patient education and follow-up instructions to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA) or equivalent preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire
• Previous ambulatory clinic or outpatient experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to work reliably for a 5-hour AM shift and attend required orientation

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable taking vitals, performing point-of-care testing, and rooming patients
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate documentation
• Basic clinical procedures and infection control practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a busy ambulatory setting
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize patient care tasks
