Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit with professionalism
Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit clearly and accurately
Assist clinicians during exams and minor procedures in the ambulatory setting
Perform point-of-care testing and process lab specimens according to protocol
Maintain exam rooms and supplies so care runs smoothly for every patient
Communicate effectively with patients and team members to coordinate care and follow-up

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused attitude
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic environment and following protocols

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with taking vitals and basic clinical assessments
Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate charting
Good infection control and specimen handling practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Time management to keep clinic flow efficient
Basic knowledge of common ambulatory procedures and testing
