Location: Spokane, WA

Start Date: 04-23-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Ambulatory (MA - AMB), 5-hour shift; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed. Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients and create a welcoming, comfortable visit experience
Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit
Assist providers during exams and procedures in the ambulatory setting
Prepare exam rooms, ensure supplies are stocked, and maintain a clean workspace
Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection as trained
Accurately enter and update patient information in the electronic medical record
Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical team members

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA) or relevant clinical training
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Comfort working in an ambulatory clinic environment
Strong communication and patient service skills
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented; orientation attendance required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant training or certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with vital signs, patient intake, and basic clinical procedures
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Good infection control and safety practices
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a busy clinic
Basic phlebotomy and specimen handling preferred
