Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit to ensure a positive clinic experience
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints accurately
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures in an ambulatory setting
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection and basic point-of-care testing
• Document patient encounters clearly in the electronic health record
• Coordinate patient flow and help maintain a clean, efficient exam room environment
• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions as directed by providers

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred (CMA, RMA or equivalent)
• BLS/CPR certification required or able to obtain prior to start
• Previous ambulatory or outpatient clinic experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient-service skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment with attention to detail

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and patient histories
• Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and infection control practices
• Comfortable with specimen collection and point-of-care testing
• Working knowledge of electronic health record systems and documentation best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
• Organizational skills to manage patient flow and clinic tasks efficiently
