Roles & Responsibilities

Greet and check in ambulatory patients with professionalism and warmth
Obtain vital signs and relevant clinical information accurately
Assist clinicians by preparing exam rooms and gathering necessary supplies
Collect specimens and ensure proper labeling and handling
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Communicate instructions and follow-up details to patients effectively
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
Prior ambulatory or clinic experience is a strong plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable upon hire
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working morning/ambulatory shifts of approximately 5 hours

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with ambulatory clinical workflows and patient check-in/out
Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Skilled in taking vitals, specimen collection, and infection control practices
Strong patient-centered communication and customer service
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment
