Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit to create a welcoming experience
- Obtain patient histories and take vital signs accurately to support clinical decision-making
- Room patients efficiently and document assessments in the electronic medical record
- Assist providers with exams and routine procedures to keep the clinic running smoothly
- Collect and label specimens following protocol to ensure quality results
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for a safe, professional environment
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and referrals to support continuity of care
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members to enhance patient satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred (CMA, RMA or equivalent a plus)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain during orientation)
- Previous ambulatory care or clinic experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; patient-centered mindset
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and basic clinical documentation
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certificate/diploma preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, injections/assistance with procedures, specimen collection
- Familiarity with ambulatory clinic workflows and patient triage
- Proficient with electronic medical records and data entry accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic
- Clear verbal and written communication with patients and clinical staff
