Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver precise radiographic and sonographic exams across all body parts for spot-on diagnostic insights
Master diagnostic medical radiography and sonography in diverse settings
Meticulously maintain patient records and files
Champion the departmental quality assurance program
Seamlessly transfer patients to and from radiology
Step up as department lead in supervisor's absence
Rotate shifts and respond to calls within 20 minutes
Perform mammography procedures including breast needle localization, specimen radiography, screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy
Handle CT responsibilities like equipment care, invasive procedure assistance, venipuncture, contrast management, and QC

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography
BLS certification within 45 days of start
Clinical Competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
Experience performing all diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Willingness to learn other imaging modalities like Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography

Education

Tech levels based on ARRT or ARDMS certifications in multiple modalities

Knowledge & Skills

Principles of growth and development across all ages from newborn to geriatric
Radiation protection and professional judgment in procedures
Patient care tailored to age-specific needs
Quality control and ACR/FDA mammography requirements
Sterile technique, venipuncture, contrast contraindications, and tele-radiology
Working well under stress with diverse cultural backgrounds
