Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage Epic nurse in-boxes and assigned work queues to keep patient care flowing
• Triage and respond to patient phone calls and MyChart messages promptly and compassionately
• Process medication refill requests and route them for provider signature when needed
• Manage and coordinate lab and imaging orders and follow up on results
• Support high-acuity neurology patients including infusion coordination such as Leqembi
• Transcribe and document voicemail messages and inbound clinical faxes into Epic
• Abstract and enter genetic testing results (Invitae, GeneDx) accurately
• Ensure timely, accurate clinical documentation to support patient safety and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active LPN or LVN license (role is LPN)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (experience with neurology patient population highly preferred)
• Experience in adult outpatient clinic settings
• Proficiency with EPIC and MyChart workflows
• BLS certification required
• Comfort with triage, medication refill processing, lab/imaging order management, and clinical documentation

Education

• Current LPN/LVN licensure
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Epic electronic health record navigation and inbox/work queue management
• Triage principles for outpatient neurology patients
• Medication refill workflows and routing for provider signature
• Lab and imaging order entry and results management
• Infusion coordination processes (example: Leqembi)
• Genetic testing documentation (Invitae, GeneDx)
• Clinical documentation best practices and voicemail/fax transcription
