Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures and related imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes
• Operate CT and radiographic equipment, selecting appropriate settings and accessories to obtain diagnostic images
• Prepare and position patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while ensuring comfort and safety
• Administer contrast media and establish/maintain intravenous (IV) access when required for studies
• Apply aseptic technique and initiate basic life support (BLS) actions if necessary to protect patient safety
• Corroborate and document patient clinical history and identifiers to support accurate radiologist interpretation
• Provide clear patient education and instructions to reduce anxiety and improve exam cooperation
• Support inventory management and provide input on supplies and equipment needs for the imaging area
• Supervise and provide practical instruction to students and partners, fostering a learning environment
• Adhere to radiation safety, universal protocol, and standard precautions in all procedures

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program (required)
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (required)
• ARRT Radiography registration (required)
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration (required)
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Comfort with alternating shifts, weekends, holidays, and participation in on-call rotation

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and image acquisition
• Patient positioning and immobilization techniques
• Contrast media administration and IV access management
• General radiography, fluoroscopy, portable and surgical radiography
• Aseptic technique and infection control practices
• Radiation safety principles and proper use of shielding
• Effective patient education and interpersonal communication
• Inventory control and equipment troubleshooting
• Teaching and mentoring students or new staff
