Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all CT exams accurately and safely on GE Optima scanners, covering the full range of CT procedures
• Deliver outstanding, compassionate patient care—especially for trauma cases where calm, decisive action matters
• Operate PACS (McKesson) and document exams in Meditech with attention to detail and timely turnaround
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and unit staff to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient outcomes
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and departmental protocols at all times
• Assist with unit needs including patient positioning, contrast administration when indicated, and supporting 1-2 technologist staffing models

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification and CT Certification required
• Valid KS state license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (trauma experience strongly preferred)
• Hands-on GE experience (GE Optima familiarity required)
• Strong patient care skills, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced trauma setting

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and all CT exam types
• GE Optima scanner operation
• PACS workflows, specifically McKesson PACS
• Clinical documentation in Meditech
• Trauma imaging protocols and acute patient management
• Excellent patient interaction and communication skills
• Ability to adapt and float as unit needs require
