Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to prevent falls
- Support nursing staff with activities of daily living and clinical tasks as delegated
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to promote excellent care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Active state CNA registration as applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior CNA experience preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs welcome
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work night shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside manner
- Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
- Safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Basic understanding of infection control and standard precautions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
