Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Accurately take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices
• Document patient care and observations clearly in the charting system
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California (or eligible to obtain one)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with mobility, transfers, and basic patient care
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational patient care techniques and infection prevention
• Basic vital sign measurement and patient observation
• Familiarity with charting and electronic medical records is a plus
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a calm approach in busy clinical settings
