Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support safe patient transfers and use of mobility aids to reduce fall risk
- Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Effective communication with patients and healthcare team
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
