Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to patients in an acute care setting
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient status changes
Support the nursing team with timely reporting and handoffs
Maintain infection control standards and safe patient handling practices
Document care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Respond promptly to patient needs and contribute to a calm, healing environment

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state-required credential)
Prior experience in acute care settings preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to provide safe patient handling and adhere to infection control protocols
Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred where required by facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs measurement and basic patient assessment
Assisting with ADLs and mobility support
Infection control and hygiene best practices
Accurate documentation and electronic charting familiarity
Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical team members
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care environment
