Roles & Responsibilities

Provide essential clinical support while addressing educational needs of new employees, staff, and students
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate impactful educational activities including orientation and continuing education
Offer expert guidance on complex patient care, medication administration, and treatment plans
Serve as a mentor enhancing clinical skills and acting as a liaison between staff and leadership
Analyze patient data to pinpoint practice gaps and implement targeted interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to champion evidence-based practices and innovations
Promote ethical standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct quality control audits

Qualifications

Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License for the state of Alaska
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care settings preferred

Education

Nursing degree required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Sound knowledge of clinical practice standards, evidence-based practices, and quality improvement
Expertise in managing acutely ill patients, safe medication administration, and medical equipment
Skilled in comprehensive patient assessments, specialized procedures, and patient education
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
Ability to motivate teams, stay calm under pressure, and work collaboratively
