Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs, document changes, and report observations to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate resident records and contribute to care plans
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other caregivers to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or must be obtained upon hire)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program or equivalent education
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
• Familiarity with infection control standards and PPE use
• Basic documentation skills; ability to learn and use electronic charting systems
• Good time management, teamwork, and the ability to follow care plans
