Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with ADLs like bathing, dressing, and grooming
Measure and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning to prevent falls and promote independence
Document care accurately and timely to keep the care team informed
Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Communicate kindly and clearly with residents and families, advocating for resident needs

Qualifications

Active CNA certification, required
Current authorization to practice as a CNA in Connecticut (state registry) preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and good communication skills
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with resident personal care and ADLs
Basic knowledge of infection control and safety practices
Comfortable with charting and following care plans
Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
Team-oriented approach and strong time management
