Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, patient transfers, and mobility support
Maintain accurate patient records and report changes in condition promptly
Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents and their families
Communicate clearly with the care team to help deliver coordinated, high-quality care
Respect patient dignity and follow infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active or eligible for state registration to practice as a CNA in New Mexico
Comfortable with physically assisting patients and performing routine clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Background check and any facility-required screenings must be clear

Education

Completion of an approved CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proven skills in basic patient care and activities of daily living
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
Good observational skills and ability to report changes effectively
Compassion, patience, and respect when working with diverse patients
