Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (overnight; days vary based on per-diem schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Safely assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
Support meal assistance and ensure residents receive their dietary needs
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment every shift

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification required
Valid state-required licenses and clear background checks as applicable
CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
Comfort working overnight shifts and in fast-paced clinical settings
Compassionate patient care approach and good communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control best practices
Clear verbal and written communication
Teamwork, time management, and attention to detail
