Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents under the supervision of nursing staff
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to licensed nurses promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using appropriate body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident observations
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required
• State-required immunizations and health screenings as applicable
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on resident care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with care team
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and personal hygiene assistance
• Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
• Competence with safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
