Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 04-19-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed; schedule may include day and evening coverage)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support while following care plans
Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident observations
Help create a warm, dignified environment that promotes resident comfort and independence
Participate in team huddles and collaborate with licensed staff to support care goals

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification (current) or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings; prior CNA experience preferred
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
Familiarity with resident safety protocols, safe lifting, and transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
