Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and personal hygiene while preserving dignity
Support mealtime and feeding as needed, ensuring comfort and safety
Document care and observations clearly to keep the care team informed
Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (or eligible to obtain) — PA certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by the facility
Background check and drug screening clearance
Compassionate attitude, good communication skills, and reliability — experience a plus but new CNAs are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, infection control practices
Strong observational skills and ability to communicate resident changes
Comfortable with documentation in electronic or paper charting systems
Team player mindset and customer service approach with residents and families
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
