Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote dignity and comfort
• Follow care plans and help implement treatments under RN/LPN direction
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Document care accurately and timely in patient records
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus but not always required

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing principles and patient safety
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Good charting and documentation habits
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong observational skills to notice subtle changes in patient condition
• Customer-service mindset when interacting with patients and families
